Distilling Flasks
The distilling flask, also referred to as a fractionation flask or fractioning flask, is a a vessel with a round bottom and a protracted neck from which a side arms protrudes. it's primarily used for distillation, the method of separating a mix of liquids with different boiling points through evaporation and condensation. Liquids with lower boiling points vaporize first so rise through the neck and into the piece, where they recondense and collect in a very separate container.
